It has been said many times that the internet is the modern day equivalent of the wild west of American history and legend. Largely unregulated, the internet has seen the intermingling of legitimate companies and scam sites to such an extent that it can often be difficult for a consumer to determine whether he or she is dealing with a reputable company that stands behind its services.
